Quote from: neurosis on October 27, 2023, 10:23 AMNo.  I'd have to see each case and see what is being reported as a hate crime. We're talking about what is considered to be a hate crime being fluid?
Per the FBI; "... violent crime is decreasing and hate crimes are increasing...". To me that says after 2022 they can't be both, it is one or the other. Maybe I am misinterpreting but I personally find that shift HIGHLY suspect.

Quote from: neurosis on October 27, 2023, 10:21 AMYou're probably the first person I've ever seen say that the brookings institute pushes propaganda pieces, but ok.  :D
I don't believe they do it as a normal course of business like some other think tanks do, but to suggest they would never engage in it wittingly or unwittingly, well, that would certainly make them unique in the world. They are every be as suspect of anything just like "peer review". Over the last several years we've seen that "gold standard" prove to be significantly less reliable.

Quote from: mowens on October 27, 2023, 09:58 AMWell, firstly, my comment wasn't aimed specifically at you.

Second, the question is a little too vague for me to be able to answer cogently.

I do believe that both political parties are equally to blame for the mess we are in.

I believe that "for the good of the people" is way down on the list of priorities when government (of any party) makes policy decisions. Behind power, money and weakening my political opponents, at least.

I don't believe that Hamas would need the CIA's help to infiltrate the southern border.
I don't believe covid vaccines are an attempt by the government to control people, other than trying to get them to give as much money as possible to drug companies.

You know, BTK was a successful serial killer not because he was smart but because he was so stupid. Everything he did was completely random. As proven by the fact that he was caught because he asked the police if they could trace a computer disc and believed them when they told him no.

I think that's a good analogy for our government.

I have seen our local city government do some of the most boneheaded things and think no one would notice. I see the corruption that certain local politicians are susceptible to. And I see the low opinion that government has on the intelligence of the average citizen. And these are the people that move on to state or national government.

I guess in the end it doesn't matter if it's conspiracy or incompetence. The result is the same.

That has to be one of the better posts I've seen in a long time.

But they were trying to control people, they wanted mandatory nationwide "vaccinations".
Firing people for not taking it is one major example of controlling people. My sister has 30+ years at a major insurance company. When the chinavirus scamdemic hit, they told her that since she's so close to retirement she can work from home (which is over an hour away). They STILL made her get the jab or get fired and lose her retirement. She had no choice. And IMO she should talk to a lawyer about a lawsuit against them.
That is the very definition of controlling people... do this or else.

Other ways of controlling people with the "vaccine", is the influence it had on the minds of the children who are so easily influenced by the smallest things. Being scared to go anywhere because the fear of getting a "virus" and dying was pounded into the skulls of all school children in the world.
And when every bit of data collected pointed towards children being the least likely to contract the "virus" by such a miniscule percentage, they were still made to wear the masks.

Brainwashing at an early age has a long lasting effect.

I'm one of those who believe that it wasn't their intention.  They were in over their heads and too dumb to come up with a realistic solution. IMO.

Economies crashing and countries full of disgruntled citizens can't possibly be what any government was shooting for.

Well they want a digital currency, right? What better way to put that into play than to make the dollar worth less and less and less.

Electric vehicles... what better way to control people's travel than by an electrical grid that can be shut down at will? Or individual cars being rendered useless because you made big brother mad.
He wants us to be rid of using natural resources...why? Well, if everything was digital and electric they can control the population.

It's not as far fetched as you might think.

To what end?

And yes, In my opinion, it's far fetched.

Our politicians are smart enough to pull something like this off?

If you think it is "far fetched", you haven't been listening to California Governor Gavin Newsom and his string pullers. I could pull a dozen broadcast speeches that I've heard, I could pull from speeches his cabinet and California Air Resources Board, etc... ad infinitum but I won't. I'm just tired.

If California didn't have any pull in this nation, Nazi Pelosi would have never become speaker of the house once, let alone twice. As to the Democrats in MY state aren't batshit crazy like the ones from The People's Republik of Kommieforniastan... I call bull shit. Your people voted for Nazi Pelosi so they were down for THE cause whatever it is. Own it!

I think it's far fetched in that 1) I guess I don't have that conspiracy gene 2) all of these people went to school, have friends and family, etc.  I don't know how they could hide some big plan from everyone. It's not like these people are robots that materialized out of thin air.

Nazi Pelosi  :D  Thats just great.

When it comes to speaker of the house voting.  We just witnessed one of the biggest shit shows ever?  Tribalism is strong in politics. It doesn't surprise me that she was voted in twice.

Damn the politics in this Country suck.

Wasn't there some kind of issue her second round? The Squad, or younger politicians weren't on board with her old woman politics or something? :D

They have friends, family, etc... I'm not even speaking of conspiracies... I'm basing what I said on their own speeches, written/stated policies, etc...

They have connections you and I can't even fathom. The politicians will ALWAYS have ICE cars. When POTUS limo is an EV, then I'll.take it seriously.

When politicians stop buying beach front property then I'll take the oceans are rising discussion seriously.

When insurance companies insure beach front property like they handle earthquake insurance, or won't insure it al all, then Inwill take it seriously.

Etc..., etc..., etc... ad infinitum.  Ad nauseum.

No conspiracy, just out in the open policy.

Have you paid any attention to what's happening in Florida recently? People are having to either sell their homes or stop paying for insurance because it's become unaffordable.
