Del.

In my hospital room. Been awake all night. Surgery took 6 1/2 hours. I'll share details when my phone is charged. Thanks for the prayers. To be honest, I was scared. I've walked a couple times and nerve pain is completely gone. Surgery pain is a different story. Been on Morphine and Lortabs.

Glad to hear it went well...yup, they'll get you right up and moving..

Your surgery was more extensive then mine as they added hardware, so that changes the equation slightly...be mindful once your home of the pain meds...I found pretty quickly, that after 2 days, Tylenol was all I needed...took a week to taper off of that...recognizing pain from soreness, that's key....

Once you're through the first few days, you'll really start to feel great again.

Good Luck and hope you recover fully quickly!

Great news, Del!

Also great advice from JP about the pain meds.
The quicker you can wean yourself off that stuff the better.

It sounds like you are going to be well on your way to a full recovery, and as Larry said, a happy and healthy retirement!
