"The NCAA model took another hit late Friday when a federal district judge awarded class-action status to an ongoing antitrust lawsuit against the NCAA.

U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken ruled in House v. NCAA that not only the original plaintiffs could proceed with their lawsuit but potentially thousands of NCAA athletes could be grouped into a class that may potentially have been harmed. The lawsuit filed in 2020 seeks $1.4 billion in damages representing name, image and likeness revenue those athletes could have earned if it had been allowed during their enrollment.

The lawsuit seeks backpay for NIL and a portion of broadcast revenues. Former Arizona State swimmer Grant House is the lead plaintiff in the case; he is joined by former Oregon basketball player Sedona Prince and former Illinois football player Tymir Oliver.

Under antitrust law, damages would be tripled if the NCAA loses -- meaning a potential payout of $4.2 billion. The NCAA's net assets for fiscal 2022 were $458 million."

Its all they talked about on the TV broadcast of the Michigan game. (Congrats beating up on another creampuff...sorry, Greg)

Please tell me again how difficult the SUCKEYE schedule is this year. Youngstown St and Western Kentucky are really blowing up in the rankings aren't they?
The SUCKEYES played that same creampuff a month ago by the way.
They're playing the same caliber of teams that Michigan has played with the exception of a 3 loss OVERRATED notre dame team who couldn't beat a 4 loss Clemson team. And I'll give you one guess as to which team has struggled in at least 4 of their games against said opponents...... Here's a hint, it's not Michigan. They've dominated every team that they've faced because that's what you're supposed to do against weaker teams while osu struggles to get that W.

Are you capable of independent thought or can only parrot what you hear from your fellow SUCKEYE fans?

Michigan and psu are the only 2 teams to not allow a score in the 3rd quarter. It reminds me of the 1997 game where both(I think both teams) hadn't allowed a 4th quarter td that year. And both teams were top 10. I'm looking forward to it, I was there in 97, about 20 of us made that trip. Fun times!

Oh really? You must have watched a special broadcast that the rest of the nation watched.

I'm also looking forward to PSU vs. Michigan.
Win or lose, those games are always entertaining.

Honestly, Michigan is realistically the better team this year.
However, they better bring their 'A' game to Happy Valley or they could be in for a long day. :ouch:
That's why we play the games on the field, and not just on paper.

I thought the opening line favoring Michigan by 4.5 seems about right, but then again sometimes these games come down to who has the ball last, and how well their kicker is playing.

I'm sure Michigan would take the W in a close game even if they didn't cover the spread, and I KNOW Penn State will take the W any way they can as the underdog.

Good luck Nittany Lions!!! BEAT THOSE BUMS!!!

(Yeah, they're really good. Always tough to play with that whiteout crowd. They can be really annoying! I would rank them Michigan, Georgia, Ohio State, and Florida State...its early still, rankings mean little)

Buckeyes hold on to #1 ranking.

Doesn't mean anything at this point. Kinda surprised Georgia didn't take #1 after the Missouri win.

Just beat Michigan State and go 10-0. One step (game) at a time.

Exciting noon game Michigan at Penn State. Should be a lot of fun to watch. Michigan the better team but...Penn State no slouch and are at home. PSU has to figure out how to score some points. Need some turnovers.

And you haven't played a top 10 team this year...yet. Not a good record but...they did play a lot of those teams in contested games.

Penn State will need some turnovers to have a chance...

Blah Blah Blah.
We've played the same teams that the SUCKEYES have played and obliterated them while the SUCKEYS struggled against them.
The SUCKEYES have played 1 top 10 team, Penn State. Can't count nd because they were overrated (shocker I know) and now have 3 losses with one of those losses to a 4 loss unranked team.
