My trip was, wake up at 2am, leave at 2:30, get to Indy airport 5:30 for a 7am flight. Wanted plenty of time cause checking a firearm is always a crapshoot. 1.5 hour flight and the time change got me to KC at 7:30 local time. Kid picked me up and went to his house. Buddies arrived at 9 and we left Overland Park. Got to our hotel in Liberal, KS at 3:30. Left at 4 to drive to Hugoton, 45 minute drive, for big dinner/fundraiser a local charity runs the day before pheasant season opens.

It was a 'calf fry' dinner. They cook 800 pounds of cow balls for this shindig and were out by 8. We drank beer with the other groups in our hunting party until 10.

Long day. I'm still trying to catch up on sleep.
