Yeah they have been playing tough all year.
It's the offense that has been lacking.

Drew Allar is only a sophmore, and these big games are definitely a learning experience for a young QB, but you are right that he looked bewildered at times and just wasn't 100% himself.

Anyway, PSU is out of the running, so it is now between Michigan and Ohio State.
I think Michigan is the better of the two, but we'll just have to wait until they settle it on the field.

Quote from: Jeff on November 11, 2023, 03:51 AMYeah that I don't understand. The NCAA hasn't finished the investigation, but the hoity toity commish decides to institute punishment now. I've heard from all sorts of people, even SUCKEYE fans that this was a stupid decision.

I will agree. Innocent until proven guilty doesn't apply with the NCAA.

Quote from: Jeff on November 13, 2023, 05:05 AMIt wasn't the NCAA, it was the B1G commissioner. And he's an Ivy League dooshbag.

I think the NCAA may have pressured the B1G commish. Who knows.

Yeah, I thought so too.

The offense has been struggling to score points in general, so when they are facing the better defensive teams as they did vs. OSU and Michigan, points were even harder to come by.

Like I said, hopefully it is a learning and building season for a young QB and a relatively young team.
The kid definitely has the potential to be a top-shelf Division 1 QB, but the learning curve is often steep and painful.  :ouch:

Agree. He's just 19. He'll get better next year.

There was some shady refereeing happening in Maryland on Saturday but the Wolverines won anyway.

They kicked off after a score, it was a shitty kick which gave Michigan really good field position. Ref's blew the whistle calling for a re-kick because "the wind blew the ball off the tee". Well the replay proves otherwise.

Michigan punted, Maryland had a guy 1-1/2 yards across the line before the ball was snapped. Punt, fair catch, commercial... No flag. Come back from commercial they said "a very late flag for offsides". They had to throw the flag because it was blatantly obvious.

Maryland on their own 35-ish, 3rd down, play clock clearly hit 0...no whistle which would have put them at 4th and very long. They went on to score that series. That was a crucial momentum swinging moment for them.

Does anyone remember who Michigan passed to become the NCAA wins leader?

So, did Harbaugh's lawyer advise him to just not appear for his case?  I guess they just agreed that there was some compelling evidence against him?
I'm guessing he's gonna be leaving Michigan?

It was either Yale or Notre Dame, iirc there was a time when it was back and forth for a year or two.

Nobody knows. It's all speculation as to what and why.
IMO he's falling on the sword to prevent any wins from being vacated.
As to him leaving Michigan.. I can't see that happening.
