The Game:

The Ohio State University Buckeyes at scUM

FSU's quarterback had a NASTY knee injury on Saturday. His knee was like a rubber band.
Unless their backup can compete at the same level, I'd say they're dunzo.

Quote from: Jeff on November 20, 2023, 04:43 AMhere was some shady refereeing happening in Maryland on Saturday but the Wolverines won anyway.

Ohio State beat Maryland 37-17 at the Shoe.

Michigan had a battle at Maryland. It was a trap game, you won that test (players are just human).

Ohio State defense revving it up. McCord playing much better. Harrison, Jr. (a weapon Michigan can't counter). Henderson healthy (one of the top RB's in CFB).

The line about right (I think UM -4).

This is gonna be a battle, I think. Close game down to the wire.

Yeah I'm not buying that it was a trap game even though dumbfuck gus johnson kept saying that. I'm SO glad we don't have to listen to him next season. He fucking sucks.

Michigan was without 2 of our best players at LT and WR, and then the backup LT got hurt. Maryland did NOT want to be the team forever remembered with 1000 wins and besides that, they had absolutely nothing to lose. They were fired up.

I think JJ got hurt in the Penn State game (leg or ankle) on that run where he was tackled pretty hard. He hasn't been the same since. He looked way off against Maryland.

Buckeyes missed some key defensive players in the Minnesota win. Eichenberg our stud LB. A couple of our safeties. McCord has a sprained ankle (don't think too serious). All of them day-to-day (I expect them to play Saturday)

JJ did look off. Missed throws he normally makes.

Nope. Yale's close though.

Well, the reason being it was a game between Penn State and Ohio State. Whereas for Maryland, it was a huge game. Like you said, JJ wasn't 100% JJ. That played a big factor. Maryland is a dangerous team on their field. Can't take them lightly. They've played well against the Wolverines in recent games.

I'll take a guess (didn't google).

Harvard? (I don't know)

I think Michigan's had the record for many years.

I wanna say that ND was also in the mix at that time. But they faded away.

Well anyway, it pains me to say...

Congrats on getting to 1,000 career wins. Quite an accomplishment.

1,001 will have to wait until after the regular season.

Nah. It will happen this season if everyone is healthy and we play like we've played all year, and the ref's don't try to fuck us like they tried in the Maryland game.

I mean we got an obvious first down by the spot of the ball, they actually called for a measurement... only for the markers to be way short of the ball. Couldn't have been more obvious they didn't want to mark it a 1st down.
