They Need Jim Carrey back to really put the knife in their Heart. He can show his Paintings , Maybe Hawk them.

I think last time I watched SNL was when Dana Carvey and Chris Farley were in the cast.  
Early 90's.
Hasn't been funny since then IMO.

They still have a  rich supply of material to choose from.

For the most part I agree SNL isn't funny. But every once so often they come up with good stuff. It's probably better to just find the single videos somebody recommends rather than watch a full episode.

Funniest part of the whole show.

And they showed real Class by Going after Tom Brady.

The need to stop Hiring their Comedy writers from NPR and The NYT.

They've had a lack of comedy for a LOOOONNNNGGGG time.
Carvey was probably the best they ever had.
And of course Norm McDonald constantly shitting on OJ will never get old.

It's not easy to be funny when the list of materials is limited to conservatives and the catholic church. Any comedian which deviates from the syllabus can/will be shunned or blacklisted.

Not an enviable position.

I can't think of a current funny tv show.  I mostly watch re-runs of shows that are just funny without preaching.

Old SNL with Chris Farley, adam sandler, Michael James McDonald (stewert - look what i can do), etc. was very funny. todays snl is not funny and why they are so political now is beyond me. i cant watch any newer episodes of SNL but all the oldies are classics and hilarious.
One show i have never ever been able to watch is "the daily show", couldn't watch it when john steward did it and still cant watch it with that trever noah dude, its all one sided political jokes that 99% of the time are bashing on trump.

Trevor Noah sucks, not funny at all even before all his Trump bashing. sad part is that there are young people out there that
look at him as some kind of journalist/news source.
