I did a tremendous amount of work on a tracer lathe using templates way before we got CNC lathes. Most don't even know what I'm talking about.

The first shop I worked in had tracer lathes and a twin spindle tracer mill (not sure of the correct name). The lathes were pretty cool, but that mill was a monster. Nobody wanted to run it and if you did, you had to use a metal garbage can lid and a big rubber suit to shield you from the chips.

We had several monster tracer Lathes at Norris Cylinder Tyler, Texas.

I have many scars on my neck at the T-shirt Line.

Inconel comes off hot and Heavy and the chips would change to Blue in mid flight.


That's also where I learned to Dance so well.

That's how I got into Wedm. Others were making my templates and I wanted to make my own.
