Past couple years the gaming community on youtube has used unalive for this reason.

Some say "demonitized" instead of saying killed, I find that one pretty funny.

The place is full of bots and 12 year olds. And makes Nancy Pelosi look like a moderate. I've strolled around the place a good number of times, but when you actually state facts that go against their narrative you'll have a target on your back.

I use it for tech support, hobby related stuff and comedy mostly.  I do use it for local information because there are people who work closely with local politicians, law enforcement, and other government agencies that post there. It's useful to get stories as they're happening or to understand the thought process behind policy etc. In a world full of anger porn reporting it's nice to understand why something is being done, even when you disagree with it, rather than having a bunch of foaming at the mouth idiots mischaracterize what's actually being done.
