I just re-watched The Fifth Element last weekend. It's one of the few Sci-Fi movies that my wife ever liked. The special effects are a little long in the tooth but it's still a gas. And Milla? perfect.

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

I watched the 1953 version of War of the Worlds the other day. The effects were pretty good for that time.
That movie scared the crap out of me when I was a kid.

Dude...
Chris Tucker is always ROFL funny in every movie he has ever done.

Haven't seen 'Oppenheimer' yet but it is on my list.
Also looking forward to 'The Covenant'.
Those are the only two recent movies that I am even mildly interested in.

I think Hollyweird is still churning out mostly raw sewage every day, but once in a while there is a bright spot or two, although they are few and far between IMO...

I thought it was an excellent movie.

I've been hesitant because it's such a long movie.

Twilight Zone

In the 70's we had quite a few good series . Cause Movies was Spensive. Plus you had to cook your own
Popcorn and Put it in a Big Brown Buttery Greasy shopping Bag and 3 of us kids had to sit in the trunk and eat it.
sooooo on the weekends we were allowed to stay up late 10 P.M. and on the tv we could watch the series.

Ohh Ohh don't forget "The Midnight Night Special"

I thought it was a really good movie.  I would've liked it more it was more technical as far as the ins and outs of how the atomic program operated.  I know it was truly a movie depicting Oppenheimer's life, not the nuclear program, just my 2ยข

The wifey just remembered "Body Heat" and recommended it to some younger friends of ours who never even heard of it. I found it on YouTube for free. I just hope that that our friends don't get the wrong impression of us from our high opinion of that movie...pretty steamy

Keep in mind, it was written from essentially the British perspective. That's important.

I categorically refuse to watch anything by Christoper Nolan.
Said another way I can't fckn hear his GARBAGE audio mumble-fests, so there's no point trying.
need to come up with a new awards category for worst audio
