I think I may be done here. I would like to be able to post info that details suspected voter fraud and discuss, but when we mention it we are called nuts or crazy or other. I would like to post studies and data about diet and nutrition to discuss, but I get called even worse. I would prefer to have intelligent discussion and respectful debate. That does not seem possible here. There are some that will engage in decent debate and discussion, but eventually the same handful of people resort to childish name calling in lieu of debate. I typed up a response to being called a gross name in the Covid thread yesterday that was not very becoming of me. It is not who I am or who I want to be. I have since edited it and decided that I am not going to sink to the level of the immature and immoral ways here. That being said, there doesn't seem to be much value in being active here.

I missed that one. I don't usually see people going after you on this forum or EMC.

It's usually the same hand full of people going back and forth with each other.

You could always become a moderator and help create an environment that is less abrasive.

I have no interest in being a moderator. I don't have the time. I don't want to have to tell professional adults to stop acting like children.

I value the opposing views. I like when we can actually discuss them. It seems as of late you either get called names or you are "preaching to the choir" of like minded people.

That is what I said going in to this.  I don't mind offering a platform for people to have discussions.  I don't have the time or energy to fight with people over how to moderate a forum.  That, and I wouldn't be good at it. Personally, I would rather have an environment where people can have discussions without calling each other stupid and/or nuts every other day.  

We have two groups here, one consists of about 4 or 5 people, and the other is the rest. I agree that it's pretty difficult to have any kind of rational debate when a majority of the people agree with you, and the other few have 180 degree opinions.  I saw a lot of the same on EMC but with less vulgarity.

I firmly believe the election was stolen and there is plenty of evidence to suggest this is true.
Being called stupid, crazy, a moron etc etc  for my beliefs was really getting on my nerves.
I found the best approach is to just not respond to the taunts or the members making them.
My attitude is, if childish taunts are the best you've got, you ain't got nothing.

There are 75+ million other people that agree with you.  us.

I may start a "moderating suggestions" thread to see where everyone stands.

We've still never set any guidelines for the forums and it's obvious that several people either have left or are considering it.  

As far as Daniel, we just wouldn't let him in the outhouse.

Why is it whenever you can't or don't want to debate something you call it a conspiracy theory. Seriously, if it was such a wild and crazy conspiracy you should be able to debunk it with one post and maybe a link or two.

I'm not going to take sides on any of this because I haven't been following it very closely, but you should also be able to debate it without calling someone stupid?

^ And this is the problem. When a significant portion of a group is incapable of accepting fact, truth, and logic, the rest of us know that having a rational discussion is impossible.
