Lucky the brother in law has a hard head

G day all
  Had an eventful week over here. My brother in Law has been racing in the BAD boat series over here.He had some bad luck with motor problems 2 weeks ago but ended up second. Then this weekend just passed he was over at South Australia racing. Coming out of a corner the boat behind him t boned him with the bow hitting his head and roll cage. He was out for over an hour then put into an induced coma for the night.
   He has ended up with a broken arm Broken jaw and both eye sockets broken. But in hind side he is so lucky to still be here with us. Scared the absolute FK out of us as we were watching the live feed when it happened and he was over there by himself so we couldn't contact anyone to get information.
   You can see in the footage the boat hit him and nearly pull him out into the drink. The bow of the boat hit under the back of his helmet so when the boat rose up in the air it pulled him out of the seat by his helmet. The strap has broken his jaw and pushed everything up breaking his eye sockets.
  He was always ugly but going to have to get a mask for him when he gets back here

   Hopefully he is being released tomorrow and he can come home..

Well we are 9 days on and hes still feeling pretty sore.  Thank FK for Head retrains om helmets or it would have ripped his head off. A lot more busing still coming out but hes feeling a lot better than this time last week.

Yes i thought he would be back sooner than later but its not going to happen this year. Its rippled the top deck away from the hull so the boat is pretty well a throw away. Hes decided to sit out the rest of the year and build a cell boat for next years season. He wont race without an enclosed cell from now on.

This was at Melton last year. First time Andrew had been out with the new twin turbo ed motor big block.
He still has a heap of back pain and really bad vertigo.  Hes not allowed to race again. 3rd lap in the boat gets the wobbles and leaves the water.
