I told him that I would leave his account open for a while.  If he lets some time go by and/or the environment changes maybe he will come back.  Kinda blows.  I really enjoy reading his stuff.  He's one of the few members who has a different perspective on some things.

I give YoDoug Crap all the Time about his Diet.

Lots of people don't see being insulted all the time as being in fun.  They see it as childish and rude behavior, that no civilized adult would do.  It's not surprising that people who don't enjoy being insulted would leave.

I saw what ticked him off it wasn't me, and I was surprised at his Response.

I don't see people insulting Doug almost ever. He's so mellow that it's difficult not to like the guy. I've seen him get ribbed a little for his vegan stuff. I've even ribbed him a little for that.

I think that it's the constant "you're stupid" type insults that got to him.  Even if they aren't directed at him personally, he has some of the same opinions of the people who are being called stupid so....  

It won't be long before there isn't anyone left to ridicule.

I know you boys won't like to hear it, but over here in Europe red meat and especially smoked meat and all processed red meat with nitrates etc is all linked heavily to cancer.
Fish and chicken not, but those red meat smokers....

I liked that he had actually started turning a corner and thinking outside of that conservative box that we get to read so much of.  The very things that got him labeled a socialist by Reko.   He had some interesting perspectives and I'll miss reading them.

I think I may be done here. I would like to be able to post info that details suspected voter fraud and discuss, but when we mention it we are called nuts or crazy or other. I would like to post studies and data about diet and nutrition to discuss, but I get called even worse. I would prefer to have intelligent discussion and respectful debate. That does not seem possible here. There are some that will engage in decent debate and discussion, but eventually the same handful of people resort to childish name calling in lieu of debate. I typed up a response to being called a gross name in the Covid thread yesterday that was not very becoming of me. It is not who I am or who I want to be. I have since edited it and decided that I am not going to sink to the level of the immature and immoral ways here. That being said, there doesn't seem to be much value in being active here.

That was in form My issue with Sharles. After listening for a Bit .To me he made a few admissions as to Reporting People and Not appreciating their posts... From his Description I figured he had been PMing his dislikes to The Moderators. Yes I could Be wrong.
And it was near The snitches get stitches Bruhahaa. And his fanny seemed hurt. Something about Threats. I can't help him get past that. I was mentored by Old German Assholes and it took years to gain their respect. They would have Laughed if I had folded.
But every time I failed in front of them they offered experience and advice to get past it. If I kept throwing up my personal struggles eventually one if Not Many of you assholes would say....."Get Past it".....Lovingly of Course. (sarcasm)

If I had a quarter for every ex wife joke I would be a BRAZILLIONAIRE.....That's from The Micro Years.(Brazilian..Brazillion..Get it?)

It's this kind of crap that I grew tired of: twisting the facts to fit some personal narrative because Incogneeto, Zoober, James and some of the others get triggered and then start in with the personal jabs and attacks instead of sticking on topic. I NEVER reported anyone on eMC. In fact, if you had bothered to actually read what I had said on that thread, I said that instead of reporting it to the moderators, I thought the right thing to do was give James a chance to 'man up' and tell Tyler he was sorry for the threat. But then the insults began to fly and the taunts as if, somehow, I was actually scared James was going to track me down from California and hurt me: so get over it.

But it's not the first time you've taken HALF of something I said and run with it with your personal jabs and insults and I don't really care if you don't care for my personal struggles. I thought this was about forming friendships, and since I can't be 'real' with anyone in real life because my wife doesn't want people to treat her like some sociopathic murderer as our culture currently LOVES to do with anyone who has d.i.d., I was hoping to be 'real' here...but you let your own past issues from your past marriage cloud everything in how your react to me...and I said before...I was getting tired of it. Tired of even finding your personal jabs over in the industrial area of this forum when I expressed my awe at the mastercam gurus like Colin, James, John, Gcode and others compared to my relative lack of skill.

...but maybe you are right in the end, as I seem to be one of the few who are 'real' here...maybe it's just outside of what most of the guys want...it's easier to debate politics or share a prayer request for someone else than to say, "I hurt like hell every day and hope some day things get better for me and my wife..."

Neurosis, I really do appreciate what you tried to do, but it just seems for too many of the guys it's too much of a stretch to be civil while strongly disagreeing...and I don't have the emotional bandwidth to let asses make me regularly get angry at the personal jabs or twisting what I said...and try to be respectful and polite back..
