Quote from: Newbeeee™ on March 14, 2024, 06:24 AMOkay...quickly I'll bite because you've Lol'd at me....

I "lol'd you" because of the "enough" comment.  I thought we were talking about the number of papers written about how measles was a bacteria, not a virus. At least that was I was inquiring about. I'm not sure how that morphed in to a conversation about Cancer unless you're just trying to make a point that flew right over my head? Or at least how that point related to the measles question :D

Sorry about your Sis by the way.  :(  Having been through a cancer scare (and treatment) myself, I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Quote from: Newbeeee™ on March 14, 2024, 06:24 AMIt is, almost, like, they, want to re-write, medicine....

I assume that as we (the royal we) learn more, medicine gets re-written.  Is it deeper than that?

Quote from: Newbeeee™ on March 14, 2024, 06:24 AMOwners of food companies make people ill.
Same owners also own the pharma companies, who then treat the ill people.
It is, the perfect circular economy.

This I don't disagree with. I don't necessarily agree with it enough to believe that 99% of scientists are trying to buffalo while the 1% that I found going down rabbit holes on the internet are telling me the truth.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Duckduckgo doesn't identify anybody (at least on the first page of results) who thinks Measles is caused by a bacteria. Frenchy must have a different source I guess. Probably Youtube or Twitter...

Quote from: Newbeeee™ on March 14, 2024, 09:28 AMSo any "new science", is based upon the "settled" papers.

Sure, and there are more papers being written and studies being done as time goes on.

The part I have a hard time biting on, is that some people, not in every case so this isn't an attack on everything that is skeptical about medicine, will take a study and either not understand what that study is actually saying or will intentionally mis-represent what the study is saying, and then sell it as something that it isn't. People will then use that flawed explanation to push a skeptic agenda.

I see that more often than not going down some of these rabbit holes.  Because of that, I'm less likely to latch on to them without some kind of validation. And as you know, most of these guys get labeled as kooks and are discredited (or at least attempted to) by 100's, if not 1000's of other scientists or doctors.

I don't know that some of what I read in those rabbit holes is incorrect, I just know that I have no way to verify that it is. I certainly haven't spent as much time on it as you have.  I'm just an amateur.  :D

Looking at it under an electron microscope should be enough to determine if it is a virus or bacteria.
