As I sit in my hotel room here in one of the golf mecca's of America (Pinehurst, NC) I figured we needed a masters thread.

I've been up here for the past week working at Fort Bragg, oh wait, we solved racism - Fort Liberty...
I did manage to play Pinehurst 6!

Who's your favorite 3 to win?

Brooks Koepka, Wyndham Clark, Scottie Scheffler

I can't stand Scottie Scheffler! :realmad:
They never shut the fuck up about him!
Here's a drinking game... take a shot whenever you hear "World #1 Scottie Scheffler".
The last 2 years they must have said that every 10 minutes, all 4 days. IMO he's overrated and they so badly want him to be the new face of golf since Tiger is on his way out.

I always want Rory, Ricky or Tiger to win it.

Jeff, you have some very interesting views

Does Tiger have one more left in him. I wouldn't count him out.

I thought Wyndham Clark was injured.

Anyway, yeah he has been on fire lately, so has Scheffler.

Like him or not Jeff, he is the current #1.

That's based on wins, earnings, and FedEx points, not anyone's opinion, so I don't see how a player can be over or under rated.  He dominates in many statistical categories too, so I don't see what's not to like.

I always root for McIlroy too because he's just a decent guy and I would love for him to complete the Career Grand Slam.  After 7 top 10 finishes there at Augusta, I think the guy has certainly paid his dues long enough to finally win that tournament.

Jon Rahm is playing very well too, and that course suits his game very well.
If he is putting halfway decent he will be in the hunt on Sunday.

I believe Tiger will for sure make the cut, but maybe get a top 15.

I was supposed to be in Augusta today, had a free practice round ticket.  As usual, work got in the way.

Does Fred Couples make the cut?

Only thing I know about golf - "Stupid ball why didn't you go home! that's your home ball!! GO HOME BALL!!!!"

Word is he's abstaining from sex for The Masters. If I was him, I'd whack off to be safe.

Look up who won it just 5 years ago in 2019.

Here's a hint:

Tiger is always a sentimental favorite, but I don't know if he has anything left in the tank.

Between that car accident, and Father Time starting to catch up with him, it's definitely getting harder to compete at the level he wants to be at.

He may continue to make appearances at the Masters for the sake of the fans, but you KNOW Tiger isn't playing for 15th place.

He is a winner, and winners play to win.

If he is in the hunt on Sunday I will definitely be cheering for him, but realistically it's probably not happening.

I don't like something that is being forced.
Every time they break to one of his shots, they fall all over each other trying to come up with the best compliment about world number one scottie scheffler.
Did you know that world number one scottie scheffler is such a great family man?
World number one scottie scheffler is the best father.
World number one scottie scheffler is so humble, and has such deep faith in god.
World number one scottie scheffler makes everyone a better person just by being in the same room with them.

It's a bit much.
