Why would Iran telegraph it's plan to attack Israel?

They wanted to get Biden's permission first.
He gave them the go ahead "as long as they did not exceed certain parameters"
After the attack was over Israel wanted to retaliate.
Biden said, "You won, take the win and let it go"
The US will not help you attack Iran.

We don't know what those "certain parameters" were.

It's clear that Biden is try to avoid pissing off the Muslim voters in Michigan.

It's also clear that the "peace activists" are not peace activist.

They were cheering the attack while it was happening, then calling for a cease fire after it failed.

It will be interesting to see what form Israel's payback takes.
