Anything worth while added in 2025?  I didn't mess around with the public beta.

The two big ones for me are true 3-axis deburr toolpath, and finish passes to dynamic toolpaths (maybe only 2D dynamic? Not sure haven't played with it)

IN our few attempts with it...it doesn't work...

Haven't nailed it down as we're in a hard press to meet a delivery deadline but we will circle back to it to define it better

FWIW, it's still the VAST majority of my customers' CAM weapon of choice AND mine as well. I may joke, I may ride CNC for what I perceive to be short-comings or faults, but I talk shit and poke fun because I care.

When I stop doing those things is when I stop caring.

I've been very busy this year and did not do the beta testing I normally do.

I tried the RTM release a month ago and found a deal breaking lathe issue
I've told my programmers not to bother with MC2025 lathe.
You can find the details here if you're interested
eMC link

and last week I found a problem with some 2024 tools created with step files coming into MC2025 wrong.
It's graphics issue only. The gcode is correct... but it's enough of an issue that MC2025 mill is off the table for now as well.

First time ever in 27 years of using Mastercam,  I've issued a "do not use" order to my programmers.

Several years back I lost access to the beta testing area of the MC forum. I remember they said something about contacting them and they would get it taken care of. I never bothered. It takes up way too much time, especially if you want to give them good information so they can track down issues.

The new thread mill feature look promising.
I programmed a toolpath to put a 1-14UNS thread in a really hard face mill arbor.
I used the new gradual lead in option.
They haven't run it yet. I'm curious to see it run.

I think it would be nice to add the 'tool edge feedrate' option to other tool paths.

We've done some tests in collaboration with Emuge and they've been quite happy, but interested to hear how you fare. The gradual lead in is such an obvious want once it's explained how it works.

As far as tool edge feed rate- I 100% agree!

From this post on official forum: https://my.mastercam.com/forums/topic/mastercam-2025-is-available-to-all-customers/

"The enabler licensing mechanism for external post-processing will be updated. As a result, you will not be able to use the External Post Processing Enabler product on Mastercam versions 2022 through 2024 until you install an External Post Processing Enabler service pack that corresponds to each previous Mastercam version listed that you want to use. To do this, contact your external post-processing enabler provider."

Anyone run into this yet? I'll be needing MachSim over the next few weeks, can't install 2025 if it's going to hamper my previous versions, and involve my reseller in the update process, too busy for that right now.

Also what does "External Post Processing Enabler" mean?

The last post enabler I have installed is 2023
All our 2024 Postability Machine Sims run without a post enabler and IIRR Chris told
2024 machine sim did not require one
I just tried our Okuma MU1000 2025 machine sim, and it asked me for a new 2025 license.

If you go to the Postability download page,
the 2023 Enabler is the last one available.
