Liberal Hivemind has a good take on the JD Vance pick. And if you don't bother to watch, he basically says a lot of people were anti-Trumpers in 2016(and that is when JDs statements were made) but he has changed the minds of many.

Good for him. However still doesn't change my opinion that he will end up screwing over Trump and the electorate in favor of the Uni-party party and their big donor corps.

I don't really understand why you don't like him. It seems to me like he is complaining about all of the same things you complain about here. Ie, Big corportations, elitism, free trade agreements hurting the common man...etc. And he's been consistent in those complaints from long before he was in office and in fact that's the whole point of Hillbilly elegy.  What am i missing Doug?
