Speaking of lies, got to admire this grass roots, from the bottom up campaign that harris ran.  ::)  btw, the AP cut out the awkward part of the video where Schumer started clapping and the audience didn't clap along. and he said "you don't have to clap I'll clap for you."

Joe is always talking about unity while spouting how Trump is such a threat to America. Unity as long as you surrender your values to liberals way of thinking. There will be no unity. I have grown to hate liberals.

I've grown to hate all politicians.  With very few exceptions.

It's all just a bunch of theatrical bull shit meant to keep voters divided. That's why you don't see many reasonable discussions anymore.  Not that there were many to begin with.

Back in the 80's there was more reasonable discussions. The 90's REALLY ushered in the vitriol we see today.

No! It's a completely different ideology that divides us.

Trump is a threat to the "America Democrats want" and I'm in favor of threatening that vision. I've seen just about all I need to see of that vision. If there is a threat to Democracy it starts with threatening freedom of speech. That's been proven over and over again throughout history and there is only one party that is threatening free speech.

I doubt that a fraction of the Country agrees with the fringes of either side. Yet some how they get the most air time and the largest platform.  That's by design.  I don't agree with either side right now. They're both crazy and neither represents me.

The thing is, the vision for America from both party is really not that different. Yes there are things like abortion, LGBT issues, borders, etc. that are opposing. However, the real vision comes from the ultra-wealthy behind the uni-party. They want you to own nothing. No middle class as we know it today. They want you to rent your lives from them and they will give you just enough to be complacent. They will reward the political class that supports them. The greatest challenge of the voters is to weed out those candidates supporting this.

Republican ideology used to be small government and fiscal responsibility. It damn sure ain't that no more.

I have no idea what it is now other than worshiping an orange guy and hating people who are different than themselves.

The one thing I can't get my head around in this foreseen dystopian future, is what happens to the economy? The middle class drives the economy right?  If only the top 3% - 5% has all the money, and the rest of the 95% have barely enough to survive, how is this beneficial to the Countries future?

Our ideology has evolved from seeing the failures of liberal politics. We don't want insane taxes like California. We don't want to give illegals free healthcare and education. We don't want liberal governments mandating EV's. We don't want protests where public property is vandalized. We don't want women killing babies because of inconvenience. We don't want to be forced to use certain pronouns for people who don't know what sex they are. We don't want liberal presidents forgiving student loans. We don't want workers lives uprooted over climate issues that historically happen. We don't want people voting who are not willing to show identification. We don't want to make Iran stronger by giving them money. I could go on about the difference there is between us.

To understand it you have to look at humans as their value as a consumer. Consuming goods, consuming media, etc. One human can only consume so much stuff. When one human starts to amass wealth (AKA middle class homes and retirement savings), that is money that the elites think could be distributed to poor people that could be spent consuming. The worlds population is almost at it's peak and then will start declining over the next 25 years. That decline means less consumers. They are worried. Take Musk for example. He is constantly sounding this alarm. He also likes to tout this imaginary "high" basic income, yet he thinks his salary should be in the billions while the average Tesla income is like $120k. If you take out exec pay from the average it is even lower. Zuck is on the same plan. Take the wealth of the middle class, redistribute that to poor people through basic income and you have a whole new class of media/goods consumers. For the ultra-rich mega billionaires don't see the world as countries. They see it from a multi-national corp aspect of different profit centers. A strong American middle class is not necessarily the highest profit for them. Like wise the politicians want absolute control. They don't want to have to win elections and no voter is more reliable than one dependent of gov.
