Thoughts on Trumps NABJ interview?

My only comment would be, whoever thought it was a good idea to have Trump do an interview at the NABJ needs their head examined.

More interesting is who was NOT there, i.e., the first black woman running for President. 
Seems a bit odd, doesn't it?

If she somehow thinks she already has the black vote in her pocket she better think again.

My only comment to that is before Joe quite and Kamala was appointed, the same media people saying Kamala would lose in a landslide are now saying she is leading. I don't buy that big of a change in a week or so just because she is the presumed nominee.

Slightly OT, but I thought the piece with Kamala walking out of the record store was amazing.  For those that haven't seen it, one of her aids just happened to 'catch' her walking out of her favorite predominately African American record store.  She's like, I just grabbed a few of these great historical records and proceeds to regurgitate - probably what the guy in the record store told her about the records.
All good and believable, but her history with blacks isn't what I'd call great.

You can see it SO hard right now, virtue signaling on a whole new level.  Her - washing Greens in a bathtub.  Hard to believe someone who received a law degree from UC.
Goes to ATL and completely changes her accent to sound more southern, or black.

But then again, nothing surprises me anymore

Just like 2020, people are looking for anybody but Trump. Last time around, Biden was elected because a majority of voters reasoned that even a brainless corpse would be better than Trump. After 3-1/2 years, people have come to realize that a brainless corpse was only equal to or slightly worse than Trump, so they started looking at their options. When given an option other than Trump, who wasn't a brainless corpse, the voters have decided, once again, that anything but Trump is the better choice.

Come November we shall see how it plays out.

They raised $300 million on ACTBLUE the night she ascended the throne
and that is a total fraud.
They use thousands of old accounts from old one time small donors to make big donations
I was seeing interviews with little old ladies on Social Security that had made $200K in donations
to Dem candidates.
They did a lot of that going back to the Obama years and got away with it so they are still doing it.
Our electoral process is so broken and so corrupt there is no point in even participating anymore.

But is Stephen Horn a journalist or is he a whacked out Trumper?

I would suggest if you're a participant in the J6 riots, enter the capital building, and climb a statue of Abraham Lincoln it might suggest your journalist credentials are suspect, to say the least.

Jan. 6 defendant who claimed he was a journalist gets convicted

A North Carolina man who claimed he was on duty as an independent journalist while storming the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, was convicted of four misdemeanor counts including disorderly conduct in the Capitol, The Washington Post reported.

Stephen Horn, now 25 years old, scaled a statue inside the Capitol building and stormed then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) office during the insurrection. Though Horn was not assigned by any media outlet to cover the rally Jan. 6, Horn's attorneys argued that his intent to dispense recordings he took during the Capitol riot classified him as a journalist.

But more than two hours of video footage from a camera inside a helmet Horn wore that day revealed he seldom asked questions to people that day, prosecutors said, arguing he did not act like a reporter.

Horn traveled to Washington for the rally of former President Trump in a bus of Trump supporters but has said he does not align with conservative politics, nor has he ever supported the former president.

In a video that was posted and has since been taken down from Facebook, Horn can also be heard taking part in a chant, yelling "U.S.A." alongside others in the Capitol, according to FBI agents.

"I told the same truth to the jury that I posted along with my video on January 7th: 'I did not enter the capitol building as part of the protest, or for cheap thrills, but to accurately document and record a significant event which was taking place,'" Horn wrote in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, soon after he was found guilty.

Horn's sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 10, 2024, and he faces up to a year in prison on his most serious charge.

Trump never gets a fair shake. When he was elected in 2016 the very first thing he did was invite black leaders and personalities to the White House to talk about how to improve black citizens lives. They all talked about how he listened to them and they were impressed by his concerns. They got hammered by the media and other black leaders for being uncle toms.

I think that Trump spends a lot of time not putting a lot of thought in to what comes out of his mouth. I can't tell you whether he is or isn't racist, but he doesn't do himself any favors in setting himself up to be labeled as one.
