Our Manufacturing Manager, Tom passed Tuesday.
mkd knew him. He was Tom1, I'm Tom2.
He was 60 years old.
He had been battling ultra high blood pressure for years and was diagnosed with cancer
early last year.
He went through the radiation treatments and chemo like a fricking Navy Seal, cheerful, brave and optimistic.
I think he missed maybe 2 weeks work and was declared cancer free in December 2023.
Last Friday he went home early with breathing problems.
I assumed it was due to the smoke from all the fires in the area.
The rumor mill said he went into the hospital over the weekend.
He died Tuesday night of kidney failure.
He started here in his 20's as an inspector trainee and grew into the lynch pin that held this place together.
Everyone here is in total shock. The President called an all hands meeting, announced the bad news and said
he was going home because he had no idea what to do.
They say no one is irreplaceable but that is not always true. You can't hire 35 years experience and
you can't teach it. He will be missed.
Vaya con Dios, Friend.

May Tom rest in peace.

Many people are like that. They can't be replaced.

Sad for you and your company, Tom.

Sometimes God places people in our path who make us better people.
Sounds like your friend Tom was one of those.

Praying for comfort for Tom's family and friends as you all go through this difficult time together.

Condolences, Tom. Very sad news.

Here's Johnny!

Condolences Tom, tough to fathom someone passing at still a relatively young age.

Sorry to hear Tom.  Some people are nearly irreplaceable, this sounds like one of those times.

Sorry to hear G. Sounds like he was a great team member.

I'm really sorry to hear that Tom. Losing a close co-worker hits home. They're one of those constants, that when they are gone, they leave a big hole.

You, and the team at Allied, are in my thoughts.
