Cataract surgery

Since it's been well established a lot of old guys hang out here, has anybody had cataract surgery and a replacement lens put in?

I'm like going to have the surgery in November. I'm excited but a little nervous too. Messing with eye balls is a pretty big deal.

My sister had it done a few years back. Everything went fine, she can see normally again.

I can say , I have only seen or heard good things about it.

It will make me nervous too, just the thought of cutting into the eye kinda freaks me out.  However, my eye doctor told me I have the beginnings of cataracts. I know it'll only be a matter of when not if I will have to get the surgery as well.  I'm sure it'll be one of those things I put off until I have no choice if I want to see.

a friend of mine had it done several years ago. She wore coke bottle glasses. legally blind in both eyes. They removed the cataracts, implanted the lenses and now she doesn't even need glasses to read at 70 years old.

Two seasons ago my bro-in-law missed a deer with his muzzleloader for the first time I can remember.
He called the eye doctor the next day and made the appointment. 

This past season he dropped the first one he saw @ about 75 yards, so all is right with the world. 

I haven't had it done myself, but everyone says that you will know when it's time, and nobody I know has regretted doing it.
