Quote from: Smit on September 25, 2024, 07:54 AMIt's crazy to look at the tax brackets from back in '64 isn't it?

Adjusted for inflation, I'd be in about the same bracket.

Lets go back to 60's tax brackets!  :D
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Quote from: beej on September 25, 2024, 06:09 AMfrom the Brookings institute???? of course that's how they would phrase it. Let's break that statement down a little.

why did they stop the analysis at 2 years?

Never materialized? hmmmm interesting way of putting it. I guess I would have to ask who kept the budget cuts from "materializing"

LOL, are you asking Smit to actually use some critical thinking about the article he posted?

Quote from: Jeff on September 25, 2024, 04:22 AMThat's pretty vague, he was trying to bring back mfg to this country. Reducing taxes on taxpayers, but increasing taxes on imported goods by a large amount. Making it harder to for people to outsource to places like China and Mexico.

At least he doesn't use the U.S. Mint as his own personal savings account like PedoJoe and print money whenever he feels like it.

There's not 1 person in here that can't honestly say that they're better off now than they were when Trump was in office.
I can say that but it has nothing to do with who's in office. It's how I treat my 401K money. Most people yank their 401k money out at the drop of bad news but that just gives me a bigger piece of a reduced dividend. I have NEVER pulled my 401k savings to a "fund" that pays 2% to collect a pittance and that has payed well for me over the 42 years I've been feeding the pig.
