I'm saying that each Congressional district should count for 1 elector. 435 in total, simple majority winner takes all. Decided by majority of districts versus the system we have now.

I'd like to see one electoral vote for each congressional district won and the popular vote of the winner gets 2 electoral votes. I don't think it could be more fair than that. Everyone is represented.

That urban sprawl isn't really what I'm talking about.  States have a designated number of electors.  The percentage of people they are representing doesn't reflect what it did 50 years ago. 

Getting rid of the electoral college isn't a new idea.. 

This I believe is a reult of your misunderstanding of how apportionment actually works.

There are 535 Electors. 100 Senatros and 435 Congressmen. Each state gets 2 Senators... an equal voice regardless of population. This is good. Next is the House. This is where they electors are allocated or disbursed by population. California has more electors than any other state. They lost electors BECAUSE their population decreased and states like Texas increased. 

That's how it's supposed to work. Now, the number of people an individual congressman represe is has gone up, which is fine, the disbursement remains the same. Percent of the population gets percent of the represetation.

Now, there is disagreement on if illegals should be counted. Personally I do not think they deserve anything. They deserve deportation. Break the law to get here, there should be no rewards for criminal behavior.
