I can't throw too many stones. When I was in my 20's I used to harass Trans people in downtown Seattle.

I had a lesbian couple move in next door to me when I was in my mid to late 20's.  They were in to the trans/drag scene and would invite me and my g/f over for parties all the time. 

I don't know that any specific group of people can be more fucked up or perverted than another (remember my youth, they were all christian straight(?) people) so as I got older I learned not to judge based on stereotypes.  That couple living next door to me were raising their kid to be respectful and kind. They weren't perverts and neither were their friends.

I'm guessing that Fox news has convinced most of us that trans story hour is about converting our children?

It's called Drag Queen Story Hour and it's not about converting anyone. It's about pushing a sexual deviancy on to young children. Even many gay people think it's creepy. Drag queens can be gay or straight. Being a drag queen is a fetish, nothing else. And if you're around children doing your sexual fetish you are doing it for sexual gratification, not to teach them anything.
