Since Elon bought Twitter and made it a bastion of free speech, his businesses
(SpaceX, Tesla, The Boring Company, Starlink)  did I miss any??

the Biden Admin.

concerning the impact rockets crashing into the ocean might have on whales.
After months of working to satisfy the bureaucrats, he got the green light to launch again.
The next day they were back... what about sharks???

by backing Trump and being a vital, possibly decisive part of Trump's reelection, he has effectively neutered the butthurt partisan hacks trying to obstruct him for daring to advocate free speech.

Given the fact that Elon is a certifiable genius, one wonders if neutering the partisan hacks was the primary goal
and backing Trump's election campaign the means to an end? (this is my opinion)

The main point of the article is, with the partisan hacks and their petty lawfare neutralized, Elon is free to go full steam ahead with his lifetime goal of occupying Mars.

The first-order effect is that the campaign of bureaucratic harassment aimed at Musk under the Biden Administration, which likely would have escalated, will now recede.  After facing a suspiciously simultaneous assault from the SEC, the EPA, the FAA, and various other regulatory agencies, Musk can now expect reasonably clear sailing.  He won't be free from regulation, of course, but he will be free from bureaucrats' efforts to weaponize regulatory powers, and bureaucratic discretion, against him.  Knowing his clout with the White House – and possibly his own budget-cutting powers if Trump actually makes him efficiency czar – they will be reluctant to cross him.

The second-order effect of that is that Musk will be able to move his space plans forward more rapidly.  Instead of having to fight against bureaucratic headwinds, he'll be able to move at the speed that his technological capabilities permit.   Musk's plans for 5 uncrewed test missions to Mars in 2026, followed by human missions in 2028, will proceed if the rockets are ready.

Another example: SpaceX is licensed under the DoD, and can't legally hire asylees and refugees without losing their licensing. The Biden administration has sued SpaceX multiple times for discrimination to force them to hire. They are literally trying to shut him down. But S.M.I.T. will never believe it.

NASA has been a serious hindrance on SO many fronts. I think their egos will not allow him to succeed at a pace he is most likely capable of. I don't get the feeling he is indiscriminate about the dangers of crewed spaceflight, but, dude wants to push the envelope... we've GOT to support him in that endeavor.

Lawfare is a shit stain on the legal system. The people that engage in it and financially support it should be sent through a wood chipper... feet first.
