The next big issue is the vote tomorrow in the Senate to choose the next Majority and Minority Leaders.

Rick Scott (FL) is the obvious choice for the Republicans.
Out of the 3 Senators who have declared their intention to run for the leadership position, Scott is the one Senator who was most vocal in his support for Trump, and the most likely Senator to push the Trump agenda that the majority of the country voted for.

The other two (Cornyn TX, and Thune SD) have been there so long that I would be leery of either one of them being more like McConnell and the 'old guard' Republicans who were part of the problem in Trump's first term. 

Hopefully Rick Scott will lock down the number of votes he needs so that Trump will have the ability to get his cabinet appointments approved quickly, and to start to work on the legislative side to fulfill all of the promises he made during his campaign. 

Now that we know the House will also be majority Republican, there is NO GOOD REASON why things won't get done in a timely manner on the Congressional side.

The final piece of the puzzle will be for Trump to purge the remaining unelected, lifelong bureaucrats from leadership positions in the upper echelons of government who did everything they possibly could to derail his stated agenda and impede his success.

He made that mistake once, and there won't be a second chance for that to happen again.
