I said this in another thread, if the Biden DoJ had a case against him they would 100% have brought it.

But they didn't because there is no case.

Do you really believe he is innocent?  I'm not sure how much you've read in to that case or the ethics probe.

"the Committee has spoken with more than a dozen witnesses, issued 25 subpoenas, and reviewed thousands of pages of documents in this matter.  Based on its review to date, the Committee has determined that certain of the allegations merit continued review.  During the course of its investigation, the Committee has also identified additional allegations that merit review."

But lets table that and assume he's not a druggy pedophile.

You can't possibly put Gaetz and Garland, hate Garland or not, on the same level of qualification for that position?

As far as lap dog, I believe (yea yea, we all have opinions) that Garland would at least make an attempt to advise Biden when he doesn't agree with him. Gaetz will do what ever Trump tells him to without argument. I'm not sure that he's even experienced enough to make an educated argument. According to some Republicans, he's not.

I am curious how this is going to play out. It appears by your comments you're more interested in revenge than what's best for the Country?  Maybe it just comes across that way?  Don't go full Reko on me.  :D

And before incog jumps in with some wise cracks, no, I don't like Garland either.   Gaetz is everything that I've come to hate about what's happened to the Republican party.

Allegations are just that.

If he committed a crime, prosecute him.
It's easy to hang a cloud of suspicion over anybody.

No, I'm not looking for revenge.
I am saying the same thing.

If real crimes were committed by Trump's enemies, they SHOULD be prosecuted FOR the good of the country, so that it doesn't happen again to ANY candidate for President.

All I'm saying is that I hope the Trump Administration is at least as zealous in prosecuting ACTUAL crimes as the previous administration was for prosecuting him.

If they did nothing wrong, they don't need to worry, right?

I agree. If only everyone in government were prosecuted when they are guilty of committing a crime. ;D

I also think that people in positions of power end up with things being swept under the carpet while people get paid off to disappear.

The guy doing the handling of money transactions for Gaetz is spending time in prison. Either Gaetz is innocent, or he was smart enough to cover his tracks?  The guy in prison doesn't think Gaetz is innocent.

"In two late-night Venmo transactions in May 2018, Rep. Matt Gaetz sent his friend, the accused sex trafficker Joel Greenberg, $900. The next morning, over the course of eight minutes, Greenberg used the same app to send three young women varying sums of money. In total, the transactions amounted to $900.
The memo field for the first of Gaetz's transactions to Greenberg was titled "Test." In the second, the Florida GOP congressman wrote "hit up ___." But instead of a blank, Gaetz wrote a nickname for one of the recipients. (The Daily Beast is not sharing that nickname because the teenager had only turned 18 less than six months before.) When Greenberg then made his Venmo payments to these three young women, he described the money as being for "Tuition," "School," and "School.""

Didn't I see some people on the forum not long ago saying "if it walks like a duck" regarding the wuhan lab leak?  Who needs definitive evidence anymore. As long as it supports your bias?  :D

Create a new strain, make a "vaccine" for new strain = profit!
Trump gets elected = hurry up and get that new pandemic that Pelosi ordered!

Del.

Why pick someone who has this baggage. I saw this guy trying to pick a fight with former speaker Macarthy at gop convention. Seemed like a dick.

He's picking him because he knows that Gaetz will do what ever he asks of him without question.

They pick people who are aligned ideologically. Are you sure that every cabinet member is picked based on their likelihood of being a yes man?

Yeah, if only...

But we all know it is very selective depending on who is doing the prosecuting.
The Dems used every dirty trick in the book to go after Trump, now the shoe is on the other foot, and they don't like it.

If this Joel Greenberg were as credible as say, Tony Bobulinski with names, dates, and transactions, maybe an actual indictment would have been brought against Gaetz.

You DO remember Tony Bobulinski, right?
The VERY credible guy who has the other side of all of those texts and email conversations with Hunter Biden that could put "the big guy" Daddy Joe in very hot water?

Maybe under the Trump Administration THAT investigation will be taken seriously, because AG Garland certainly ignored it.
