Quote from: Jeff on November 15, 2024, 05:26 AMOh and of course, CNN and the libtard left is viciously  attacking RFK Jr.

He does make a lot of claims that there is no evidence to back up.  I don't know if you remember the guy who questioned one of his covid arguments and his response for not knowing the answer was "I don't know, I'm not a doctor" (paraphrased). Why are you making claims that you don't know if are, or can't prove are true? Especially when it comes to people's health.

I'm on the fence about the guy (fence sitter). At times, he seems like he's legitimately concerned about things. Other times, he just comes across as a conspiracy quack.

These twits don't even realize Trump is at least two moves ahead of them at all times.

As for confirming Gaetz, it may very well play out like this.

Marco Rubio (FL) is leaving his Senate seat to fill the Secretary of State position.
Governor DeSantis chooses *someone* to fill that seat until the 2026 mid-term election.

All he would have to do is announce that should Matt Gaetz not be confirmed as AG, he would be on the short list to fill Rubio's Senate seat.

Then the ball is in the Senate Republicans' court with a simple choice.
Do you want Gaetz as your AG, or as your colleague in the Senate?

They have already seen him turn the House on its ear with the McCarthy situation, so the smart decision would be to bite the bullet and confirm him as AG.

Either way I believe Trump will have them boxed in FTW.

If he's giving drugs to and sleeping with 17 year old women, I want to see him in prison or his career in ruins.

Do you find it to be a strange coincidence that he resigned from his position before being confirmed as AG, the same week that the ethics committee was supposed to release the reports on his "indiscretions"?  Doesn't that seem a little too convenient?

I hope they release the reports anyway or they get leaked. They'll either clear his name to prove that he's a total piece of shit.

From the sounds of it, most Republicans don't even like him because he's an ass hole.

I agree. But first, go after the ones on the left who have committed felonies as well. As soon as they are in prison, then put Gaetz in prison if he did those things.

Del.

So what is so great about him that Trump wants him as AG?

Were you not paying attention?

The U.S. Department of Justice investigated these ALLEGATIONS and did NOT find enough evidence to indict him.
Which part of that is unclear to you?
If he committed a crime, they would have slam-dunked his ass and been done with it.

Are you naive enough to think an internal investigation in Congress can't be politically motivated?

My guess: He's not a pussy. And will do things the way that Trump would want them done.
He should have made Sherriff Grady the AG. He'd drain the swap REAL fast. lol
Love that dude.

Yes..  Maybe too much.

So then let them release the report. If he's innocent, he has nothing to lose. Why would he resign the week that the report was supposed to come out?  He has nothing to worry about, right?

I hope that report gets leaked. If he's not the pile of shit I think he is I'll be glad to admit it.

Yeah, because unfounded salacious details of the accusations will really help.  :foreheadslap:

They don't like the guy because he upset the apple cart with the whole McCarthy debacle, so this 'investigation' is simply payback for that.

That is EXACTLY why Trump picked him.
He is a maverick who isn't afraid to buck the status-quo, and even burn shit down if necessary, like he did with McCarthy.

What's stopping them?

Investigation of a Government official isn't like investigating your neighbor where the results are blasted in your local newspaper.

You could pay the money and file FOIA if you need the results to justify your hatred of him.

Oh come on.. Trump picked him because he knows that Gaetz will do anything he asks him to. That is the ONLY reason. It wouldn't surprise me if Gaetz was advised to resign to protect his reputation so he could do exactly that.

He was being investigated by the DOJ for sex trafficking. Not sleeping with 17 year olds or giving 17 year olds drugs. There is a reason the ethics committee is investigating him.  Or maybe not. Who cares if a pedo is our sitting AG

"If Mr. Gaetz were to resign because he is taking a position, with the administration, as the attorney general, then the Ethics Committee loses jurisdiction at that point. Once we lose jurisdiction, there would not be a report that would be issued – that's not unique to this case," Guest told FOX News.

That's true.  I do admittedly have a bias against people who sleep with minors so I'm not likely to give this guy a break.
