Man, that fight sucked.

I knew it from the moment he started walking to the ring. The look on his face said it all.
His heart wasn't in it.

I don't want to believe it was rigged, but I can't see anyway it wasn't. There were brief moments when the old Tyson wanted to come out but then he would just stop, sit there, and wait for Paul to stop backing away. If I would have paid for that fight I would be pissed.

The two fights before Tyson were great in my opinion.  Those chicks were badass

Those 2 women beat the fuck out of each other!
That's one of the best fights I've ever seen. That chick got robbed, no way the Irish girl should have won, and unanimously at that.

Meh...turns out I'm glad I didn't pay for another Netflix subscription just to see one event.

I saw the highlights, and yes, it turns out that a couple of fights on the undercard were much better than the so-called 'main event'.

I used to be a pretty hardcore boxing fan back in the day until I saw it becoming more and more corrupt.
My favorite fighter back in the day was middleweight 'Marvelous' Marvin Hagler.
Dude was a warrior in every sense of the word inside the ring, and just a genuinely nice, humble man outside of it.

IMO Ray Leonard couldn't beat him with a 2x4 on his best day, which is when I lost faith in the sport starting around 1987.
That was Leonard's so-called 'comeback' fight, and since he was the darling of the boxing world back then, the only way Hagler would win that fight was by KO.

When Mike Tyson came along in 1985, he quickly became my favorite heavyweight who went undefeated for 5 years, until he took one fight for granted and lost to James 'Buster' Douglas.
Then later, around 2004 or 05 it became clear it was time for Mike to hang up the gloves.

So this 'comeback' fight at age 58 was a complete surprise, but it turned out that many people expected 1985-1990 'Iron' Mike Tyson to show up, but that guy just doesn't exist anymore.

Kudos to him for trying, and I'm sure the payday for him was much needed, but after seeing the highlights (or lowlights) of the fight, I hope Mike stays retired, and someone closer to his own age knocks this pretender Jake Paul into next week.  :ouch:   :harhar:

The Hagler/Hearns fights were great!

Never could stand Sugar Ray Leonard. He's a doosh.

Yeah, Tommy Hearns was another warrior, and a nice guy as well.
Those were some epic battles!

I felt like I was in a boxing match after I woke up Saturday morning.
Friday night (well, Sat morning about 1 AM) I decided I was gonna "rescue" this dog about a mile and half from my house.

This doggo - a 35Lb mutt has been caged in a 6' x 3' "pen" in the front yard of this sketch trailer with no roof or doghouse for her whole life, around 6 months.
Poor thing literally smelt like shit cause her pen was full of it (was never let out)
I just rolled up, opened her cage and wrestled her into the back seat of my civic lol.

She's now at a dog rescue center and already scheduled for a Great place where she can run.

this, here, the whole time I was watching I couldn't believe that Mike wouldn't let the monster out.
back in the day I boxed amateur for a bit and was all in when it came to watching Mik fights. He just wasn't there to win, I don't believe. There were a few times I could swear he was pulling his punches.

He was just there for the Benjamins.... and his payday was $20 million, win lose or draw.
If he doesn't piss it away, or his managers don't steal it, $20 million should last him the rest of his life.

Netflix and anyone who wasted 2 hours of their life watching that clown show got fucked.

Good for you.
Too bad you couldn't put the human in the cage instead of the dog, but the rescue is a good deed in itself, so at least one dog will have a better life.

Back to Mike Tyson...
Yeah I heard quite a few people say he seemed to be extending the fight.

Someone also said Mike was to earn more money the longer the fight went, so that seems plausible.

Negative , that is what the Humane society is for ,Call them. Or the Cops.

Depending on his neighbor he could have been shot.

I reward him for saving the dog. :D

But not by that method.

We could all be here saying RIP Rstewart. :o

We have a different view of 'covert ops'.

It's all about risk assessment.
Yeah it could go sideways but sometimes you do what you gotta do.

Sometimes calling the authorities doesn't work, but yeah, that's probably the logical first step.

I made sure I had a 6 pack in before I did anything  ;D
Humane society isn't worth a damn in my area.  That's already been done.  Just took the law in my hands.
