I don't get the flu shot either.  I don't like getting poked by needles.  

I usually get the flu about every other year. They have someone come in to the shop every year and offer the flu shot to the employees.  In all of the years they've been doing that, I haven't had the flu any more than anyone who's been vaccinated. Some years, I was the only one who didn't get the flu.

There have been studies on "peer review" and the results were less than what a "gold standard" would/should be. Is it the best we have ATM? Sure. Sometimes when I travel, Taco Bell is my "best" food option too. Doesn't mean it's good.
