I think the old Prosecutor adage "I could indictment a ham sandwich." needs to be reiterated. 

I don't think anyone could survive much scrutiny. I know I couldn't.  My online smackdowns alone would disqualify me. When I was young I said heinous things to people that totally didn't deserve it. I sold drugs. I transported large quantities (for a kid on a bike) of cocaine. If I were in the running for a political position, It would ALL come out. My time in rehab. I'm sure someone in there when I was there would make some stuff up about a.group therapy session I was in and said such and such. 

NEVER EVER underestimate people's envy toward someone they don't like for whatever reason. As outsiders we don't know what really happened. We're relying on a punddit's sources (real or imaginary... and you KNKW they just make stuffnup sometimes). I mean look what they marched out for Brett Kavanaugh... they practically dug that old hag out of the grave to talk smack. Lied to congress too.

Anyone that could truly survive a proper vetting doesn't exist.  We just have to decide what we're willing to accept. That bar, sadly, is VERY low. Bill Clinton was a serial sexual predator,  and there is at the very least, circumstantial evidence to support he liked 'em younger than is legal... yet he walks freely amongst us. So clearly pedophilia is OK at least if you're a Democrat or support Democrats.
