Del, I have given the Republicans a chance. I used to consider myself a Republican.

Until Obama's suit color was the most important thing to complain about. Or "show me the birth certificate". Or when it became acceptable to make fun of John McCain for being a POW. Or making fun of your political opponents wife for being ugly. Or fueling a modern day anti-vax movement and calling anyone who want's to get vaccinated a sheep. 

The Republican party has become a joke.  Say what you want about Dems and I'll more than likely agree with you on *most* of it. That doesn't make the Right any less of a joke.

That's a fair enough reason. Same happened to me with Pelosi, Schumer,Waters and Reid. In the end we each have to choose between policies.

You might have to point me in the right direction. Everything I've read about this is not good.

Texas lawmakers are trying to get legislation passed to make certain exceptions to allow them to do their jobs without worry of being jailed because of this case. I know that the abortion debate becomes ridiculous when everyone runs to the extremes as arguments but it would be nice if the argument didn't come at the expense of peoples health.

For the SAME reason you don't see the stories out of The People's Republik of Kommieforniastan... the stories are buried. The left would have you to believe there are NEVER complications in abortion procedures and there are NEVER deaths. Abortion is "completely safe".

EVERY medical procedure regardless of the complexity/severity has the potential to become life threatening. When it comes to abortion though, we're not having that discussion because #MyBodyMyChoice trumps all sanity. Even the Morning After pill as it's called, there are some SERIOUS potential side effects including death. THAT is why so many states do not want it to be an over the counter "medication". But the left paints it as something else. Sane people say that you know what, abortion is a serious enough procedure, we think we should explain and show it in graphic detail to you so you fully understand the risks. The left says, nah... bring the death... we're down for the cause.

Any procedure that uses anesthesia, especially general anesthesia, is potentially deadly. I have trouble with anesthesia and some of the other drugs that go along with it. Once, I was having a procedure to remove a kidney stone and woke up in the middle of the procedure. I was awake long enough to hear the nurse anesthetist excitedly tell the doctor "he was a blue as my scrubs".

General anesthesia puts you as close to death as you are likely to get before the real thing takes you.

I know someone that went in for surgery, put her under and was unable to bring her out of it.
Had to turn off life support after a few days.

The best friend of one of my daughters went in for thyroid surgery. Afterward, she was awake and talking, then her brain began to swell, she went into a coma and died. She was still in high school. Doctors couldn't say what happened. I've always wondered if there was some kind of event with anesthesia during the surgery.
