I don't understand.
There was nothing to pardon.
51 National Security Experts assured us it was all just Russian Disinformation.

10 year long pardon for all crimes he might be involved in starting from Jan 1, 2014.

Nah.
He will hang onto that last bit of power and milk it for all its worth.

He only issued the pardon now because Hunter's sentencing was scheduled for December 10th.
Now that all goes away.
Merry Christmas from the Big Guy.

This is Joe's last big 'fuck you' to the American people who were gullible enough to believe him, even when he lied right to your face and vehemently insisted there would be no pardon.

That lie only played if Kamala won, then she would have pardoned him.
But she didn't, so he did.

I know the libs here won't question why he gave him a 10-year blanket pardon when he was only convicted for two crimes, but that's a whole different story.

Coincidentally, such a long-term pardon also effectively insulates Daddy from being implicated in any wrongdoing little Hunter may have gotten himself into.

I wonder if he can 'pre-pardon' his brother Jim now too, so that he will be completely in the clear?  :headscratch:

Stay tuned...

I read a post from a connected writer on X who said Hunter had threatened to publish a memoir going back to 2010
if he didn't get a pardon.
Given that Hunter is a total shit bag, he will probably publish it away, the first time he runs out of $$$.

In a just world, both Bidens would be counting tiles on the ceiling at the Federal SuperMax prison in Florence, Colorado.

Make it a threesome.
Leave room in there for Joe's brother Jim too.

I was only half-joking about some kind of 'pre-pardon' for Jim Biden before Joe leaves...

Thinking this through...
Given Hunter's total inability to legally earn the $$$ necessary to fund his rock star life style, his bad habit of running his mouth, the ruthlessness of his erstwhile partners in crime and the fact that he no longer protected by the power of the Presidency, threatening to publish a memoir is a really bad idea.
He just might fall out a window or something.

In the back of my mind I thought Hunter just may threaten his dad knowing full well nether Bidet as VeePee or Bidet as POTUS would EVER be held to account for the things he or did. He's just that kind of shitbag.

He's going to go on a cocaine binge and tell those stories and write that book some day.

I half expected the pardon for tax evasion but I thought dad would at least make him pay for the lying on the ATF form. That... that right there is infuriating! If ANY of us lie on a federal form, ESPECIALLY an ATF form we're done. Go directly to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.

I can't wait for Peter Doocey to have his way with mop top. You think she calls on him?

We can file this right next to the stolen election conspiracy folder in the shit Republicans believe that they have absolutely no proof of category.

Good for Joe. The Republicans and right wing media have been attacking the Bidens for political theater for over a decade. Joe is right, nobody else would have been pursued and persecuted the way Hunter has been, because the Repugs wanted to smear his father.

It's time for it to end.

Quote"The charges in his cases came about only after several of my political opponents in Congress instigated them to attack me and oppose my election," Mr. Biden said in the statement. "No reasonable person who looks at the facts of Hunter's cases can reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son — and that is wrong."

He added: "There has been an effort to break Hunter — who has been five and a half years sober, even in the face of unrelenting attacks and selective prosecution. In trying to break Hunter, they've tried to break me — and there's no reason to believe it will stop here. Enough is enough."
