Quote from: gcode on December 04, 2024, 01:17 PMThe video shows the assassin's pistol repeatedly miss-firing
He had a silencer attached and the pistol was failing to cycle after every shot.
The killer had to rack the slide every time he fired.
IMO this rules out a professional hit.
No professional would ever take a modified and untested weapon on a job.
Had his victim had bodyguards, the killer would not have survived the attack.

To the uninitiated; contrary to popuular Hollywood fiction, setting up your semi-auto (pistol or rifle) to cycle properly with a suppressor isn't just go down to the LGS, get a threaded barrel, wait your 9 months for your supressor, pay your $200 tax stamp, screw on your suppressor and you're good to go.

Sorry Oturdbucket... it just ain't. Hell... your boy Bidet's AFT turd can't even dissemble a semi-auto pistol in front of the camera at will.

And using subsonic rounds will lessen the chances of your semiauto cycling properly, which is one of the reasons behind the gun in the video I posted above.

Took me a bit to get my AR to cycle properly without the supressor.. adding the supressor the difference between cycle and jam seemed miniscule. like 1/16 of a turn.

Forgotten Weapons.com's take.

I tend to agree with him.

The video Robert posted of the B&T Station Six doesn't show any smoke coming out of the chamber with each shot.
There shouldn't be any as it's firing from a closed breech.

The video of the murder shows a big blast of smoke coming out of the breech and smaller blasts during the next two shots.

I think it was a badly setup semiauto pistol and silencer.
It functioned well enough to get the job done, but I don't think the guy was a pro.
A pro would make sure his hardware worked properly for going to work.

My most recent wait time was 4 days.

They seem to have really cut down the backlog. Several buddies wait times were also well under 2 weeks.

Ima gonna guess the big blast of smoke and the failure to cycle is the result of a homemade can.

And he immediately manually cycles the weapon. No hesitation. Like he knew he was gonna have to.

Also seen reports that he left 3 shell casings and 3 unfired rounds behind. The 3 unfired rounds had the words deny, depose, and defend written on them.

Quote from: YoDoug on December 04, 2024, 08:59 AMShort answer, yes. Corrupt to the core. The link below is Axios so it definitely has a anti-biz spin, but it shows their insane lobbying efforts to get laws that help them and hurt their customers. These CEO's have bought our politicians to form the laws to keep them in mega profits while reducing true free market competition.

That's pretty much the job of every CEO of every business in this country. They maximize profits for their share holders and try to seize market share for their companies.

Medicine and everything associated with it is a for profit industry and people will fight to prevent changing the "best health care system in the world."

What's  corrupt about that?

One of the ugly truths about capitalism.

That sounds like the moto of some nutjob political group.

Lobbying, aka buying off politicians, to get laws made in your favor at the expense of your customers and competitors is not capitalism.

It's not if you live in Reko's perfect text book world where everybody always does the right thing.

But that's not the world we live in is it?

Surely you don't believe lobbying and buying off politicians to get laws made in your favor at the expense of your customers and competitors is an uncommon occurrence in this country?

IMO, it is the status quo for big biz. I actually agree with you on a lot more than you think when it comes to the problems of capitalism. Unlike you though, I see how massively corrupt our government is so I don't think giving them any more power is the solution.

Oh is that what I think? You're going full Reko now, issuing me the beliefs you want me to have so you can criticize them. :)

Never go full Reko!
