That's an outstanding idea. Pardons should come at a potential cost to the grantor or, if the pardon is seen as nefarious by We The People, we should be able say, ok, you did that, we're going to do such and such to your elections.

Only problem with that is they have convinced the "average" voter to vote early. They also pull hundreds of thousands of ballots out of magic boxes.

Good for 'Ol Joe. What the heck, we're going to have a convicted felon in the White House, so why not a few thousand more back on the street? As a man of the people, who has their best interests at heart, Trump should embrace this.

Typically I do not care about pardons one way or the other. There's ALWAYS going to be people that don't deserve them, or pardons to some seriously shady turds. 

What I am opposed to are pardons granted for uncharged crimes, uncharged crimes over a large span of time, when criminals that stole from the public treasury, and crimes against children and a few other obscure things that erode society.
