What ever it's trying to shown has been sped up by a factor of 100+
and
the smoke does not look like it's coming from the right geography ( Pacific Palisades is right on the coast)
and
the wind is blowing the wrong way. it should be coming from the NNE (north northeast)

I saw that the other day and not sure(likely somewhere else). As far as I have heard the winds have been coming from the Northeast and that shows winds coming from either the west or southwest. They could have obviously shifted but the jagged coastline just does not match up to the smooth coast in the video.

No its not. Wind is coming from The desert and smoke is heading south.

I don't know about the city itself, but from what I've read and seen , everything on the ocean side of the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu is gone.  Those were the houses actually on the beach, facing the ocean with their backs to the highway.
I think some of them were appraised north of $250 million.
Poor Paris Hilton owned one of them and is now homeless
