Those 60 engines sent yesterday to the Cali fires are not on the fire lines...yet.

They've been ordered to submit to a DOT inspection in Sacramento that's scheduled for 4:30 pm today.
If they clear the inspection, they'll THEN be able to drive 400 miles to Pacific Palisades.
Talk about "looking a gift horse in the mouth."
Then, on the way home, they get inspected again, and if they get red tagged, it's "fix it before you can return."

Here in Spain 2x year and 3x year before, the big fires were a stupid (accidental) burn that got out of control REALLY fast and the other was disgruntled part time fire personnel who recently had their money/hours/jobs cut by the area Gov.
But meedyuh obviously milked the GlOwBaLl WaRmInG because it was "hot and dry and tinder" although.... it was friggin August in the middle of the friggin summer. In SPAIN
Last year - no fires. And why? Because the Gov said no burning until Oct.
So the orange groves (farmers) couldn't burn all their piles of tree cuttings etc and there was also a BBQ ban if you were local to any forestry.
The only fires that there were (handful of small) were adjacent to motorways and roads.... where passing drivers threw out their smokes.
So no fires due to the GLOwInG bAlL of doom.... despite having fields and fields of piles and piles of tree cuttings just sat there....waiting....to ignite....with spontaneous combustion.... but nope.
JUST.
