Good. Get as many chinese controlled apps off as many western phones as possible. That should be enough to get it banned honestly, between the "aggressive data harvesting" and following user habits, literally a direct link from users to a data centre in the PRC.

Should have gotten the Zucc or Apple to develop some alternative beforehand, but that would mean gov't intelligence and foresight. Seems folks will be fleeing to any number of other chinese made options since they HAVE to share short videos or else the children might all die of boredom within 15 seconds. So that's going to be a whole new saga of data theft and foreign surveillance.

Just another digital opiate, best that as many are removed from use as possible. People will cry out, "but what about my income? As a content creator I..." maybe do work that produces something? If you rely on a nebulous free (free as in you're the product) software as your income, that's on you friendo. It is excess energy incarnate, a society that needs to think and work to survive would never have imagined such a wasteful activity. I shudder at the thought of how many petabytes of data and kWh's are wasted annually. By design known to tap into the brain's reward centre and squeeze out every last drop of dopamine from 8 year olds and get people to buy direct from china fake BS. Meh, I'm all about less .gov control and/or bans on things.  The chineezers already have all our data, what's the big deal.

First time I noticed TickkyTocky was in the local chineseorium a few years ago.
These are shops here that sell everything. Absolutely, everything. All imported shite which has put many spanish shops out of business because gov-sponsored free rates etc but i digress
Anyway, when we went to Cyprus for 3 months, it was unbelievable. Everyone there with their heads in the phone chuckling.

Our networks and communications infrastructure is totally dependent on Chinese manufacturers and IT specialists.
They are outproducing us 10 to 1 in naval vessels and military aircraft.
There is a war coming and we have already lost it.
We are too addicted to TikTok and cheap electronic devices to even pay attention.
