Quote from: beej on January 21, 2025, 06:01 AMBiden, by pardoning his family, seems to be an admission one of two things:
1) they are guilty of something
2) It is possible to manipulate the legal system and convict political enemies

neither of those two things are a good look. Politicians usually try to avoid things that are "not a good look" especially when trying to preserve their legacy in the history books. So the fact that he did pardon them says that it was necessary.

You forgot(?) to add the obvious third option.

Trump has been threatening to prosecute (persecute) his perceived rivals (persecutors) and with those pardons has saved the U.S. money by preventing frivolous prosecutions (persecutions) based on vindictiveness.

I'm sure the omission was just an oversight. :)

Billy Beer was a crime against humanity

I was young 9 or 10, but I remember everyone talking about Billy and just how stupid he was.

Both!
And they don't care.
None of them cares.

Oh that may have been his last speech, but he's not finished yet.
There will almost certainly be more pardons coming for more people who Biden will claim didn't do anything wrong, but he needs to 'protect' them.

And.....Biden and Kammys first thing they do while out of office is a trip to California. Couldn't have done it while actually in office... but after they are shoved out the door no problem.  :foreheadslap:

They probably went to banks there to buy up land that some of the homeowners can't recover from because the insurance companies dropped coverage.

The AP has really hit a new low. Of course, they fact check every breath Trump takes... it's beyond absurd. Anyways...
Trump: "Biden pardoned... what, 33 murderers..."

The "facts" ... Biden commuted the sentences of 37 of the 40 People on Federal Death Row..."

You have GOT to be shitting me!

The AP has ZERO Credibility.

Hopefully they're buying land abandoned by all of the whiner nutcons who have been fleeing the state over the last several decades.
