Ahh, I kinda figured it had something to do with guns, but I've never heard of it.

Not just anyone can go either. You have to be part of the industry in one way shape or form.

I've never been, but I always thought it was open to the public.

I was in Vegas during SHOT in 2002. Me and my boss were in an elevator with two guys heading downstairs to checkout. They both had press passes for the show on lanyards. Worked for some hunting/shooting magazines.

I begged them for their passes. They had no picture on them, so anyone could have used them.

They said, no.

Dicks.

Not really, the risk losing their own access and that of their company "if" someone causes a problem.

I am guessing they didn't know you guys, from the elevator wall

Used to be in an outfit that rebuilt and upgraded .50 Cal machine guns.  Couple of my coworkers went to SHOT a few times, I had to stay back in the Programming Dungeon  :popo:

Dicks!

My son works in sales for Garmin. They send a pretty big team to it. He's tried to get his name on the list, but it's the same bunch of dudes that have been going for years. Until somebody moves on, nobody new gets to go.

I thought about going for maybe 10 seconds. Vegas just isn't my kind of place, no matter the business happening there.
