He touched on it in the Lex Fridman podcast. He even conceded there that 24 hours was hyperbole, if I remember correctly. He said that it would have been a lot easier to get a deal prior to the invasion rather than after. And he said that neither side is going to like the deal. He wouldn't elaborate on what his plan was ahead of time because an element of surprise often times gets a deal done.  That's what I remember him saying. I could have some of that wrong.
