Fox News

QuoteWASHINGTON –  The federal Office of Personnel Management (OPM) notified heads of agencies and departments that they must begin taking steps to close all diversity, equity and inclusion offices by the end of the day Wednesday and place government workers in those offices on paid leave, Fox News Digital has learned.

Acting Director of the Office of Personnel Management Charles Ezell sent a memo to heads and acting heads of departments and agencies on Tuesday evening directing them that by no later than 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, they are to:

Send an agency-wide notice to employees informing them of the closure and asking employees if they know of any efforts to disguise these programs by using coded or imprecise language
Send a notification to all employees of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) offices that they are being placed on paid administrative leave effective immediately as the agency takes steps to close/end all DEIA initiatives, offices and programs.
Take down all outward facing media (websites, social media accounts, etc.) of DEIA offices
Withdraw any final or pending documents, directives, orders, materials and equity plans issued by the agency in response to the now-repealed Executive Order 14035, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility in the Federal Workforce (June 25, 2021)
Cancel any DEIA-related trainings and terminate any DEIA-related contractors

I don't love the paid leave part, but, it's a process.

Vivek outlined it pretty well on The Shawn Ryan Show podcast some months back.

This is another fantastic move by our new (again) president, and exactly the type of thing that cost him the election in 2020.

In November of 2024, people were fed up with Biden, and there are enough closeted (and out) bigots in the country that there was no way in hell a woman of color was going to sit in the White House. Trump stirred up enough feigned outrage and presented a dumbed down enough message to get elected again, and good for him for understanding his base and the American people so well.

But, the majority of Americans aren't idiots, aren't hateful, and aren't prejudiced assholes. And they remember. And they will come to the polls again in 2026 and beyond. The more Trump shows his true colors, the more he dooms the MAGA movement, and the far right as a whole. So hopefully he keeps it up, and a more sensible, more rational, more centrist political movement will rise from its ashes.

How do you reconcile the idea that DEI hiring practices are good, but calling someone a DEI hire is bad.

One more question. If Condoleeza Rice ran against Joe Biden, would you vote for her?

Speaking of Women of Color in the WH... there were a LOT of us hoping Condi Rice would run. We all knew she was too smart to run. After watching what the racist left did to Justice Thomas.

And had the left stuck with Tulsi, they just may have had a multicultural woman in the White House.

Wow you're dumb.

There's no way THAT woman was going to get elected, no matter the color of her skin or what race she was that week.

Why is it that Democrats and libtards always have to make things about race and never about merit?
Not to mention... the first black person to do this, to do that, etc...

Condy Rice would have gotten probably the same number if not more votes than Trump did.
So shut the fuck up about bigotry and all that other shit you use as an excuse for the Democratic party's complete failure.

Can't be having a slave that's off the plantation running the country now can we?

One Flag policy

And the wrecking ball continues its holy work

QuoteThe U.S. State Department has adopted a new policy under the Trump administration that effectively blocks U.S. embassies and outposts from flying Pride and Black Lives Matter flags, a report said Tuesday.

The Washington Free Beacon first reported that it obtained a copy of the "One Flag Policy" order, which permits only the American flag to be flown at U.S. facilities at home and abroad, with two notable exceptions: the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action (POW/MIA) emblem and the Wrongful Detainees Flag.

"Starting immediately, only the United States of America flag is authorized to be flown or displayed at U.S. facilities, both domestic and abroad, and featured in U.S. government content," the memo states, according to the outlet. "The flag of the United States of America united all Americans under the universal principles of justice, liberty, and democracy. These values, which are the bedrock of our great country, are shared by all American citizens, past and present."

Right. It was the bigots.

Or maybe, and Ima just spitballin here, that specific woman of color was just a really bad candidate.

She could offer zero substantive ways her administration would differ from Biden's wildly unpopular one.

Maybe that's why she's not sitting in the White House.
