Well, my wife got the official letter to get her ass back in the building.

This is gonna SUCK, she's WFH for over 6 straight years.  Who's gonna get the kid to school & back, who's gonna get the kid to practice, who's gonna let the doggos out to pee?  It's a 50 min drive to work w/ Good traffic. 
She'll get no more done back in the building - she runs a dashboard of sorts for Christ sake.

Gotta crack a few eggs to make an omelette I suppose

Trump knew what he was doing.

The Supreme Court needs to take a 14th Amendment case and make a ruling once and for all, so Trump's Executive order will make that happen.

The text of the 14th Amendment *seems* to be cut and dried.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States,
and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are
citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

The crux of the argument is here in these six words:
and subject to the jurisdiction thereof,

The Court needs to clearly determine the meaning of that clause.

The argument against basically says that IF someone violated 'the jurisdiction thereof' by crossing the border illegally, they abrogate the right of citizenship.

That is a very simplified version of the argument, but that is really it in a nutshell.

SCOTUS will be forced to do their job, and we will abide by what they determine it means.
