Quote from: Smit on January 29, 2025, 05:35 AMIt's kinda like the Gulf of America and Mount McKinley.

Trump now says the PNW includes northern California, and parts of Texas.

Glad I was able to help, you're welcome.

Parts of Texas. That's funny 😄

Quote from: YoDoug on January 29, 2025, 05:29 AMI honestly don't care how the PNW is defined and by who. I care more about results and when Trump exaggerates he usually gets results.

I care that he is leading people to believe he did something that he didn't. To me, that is a big deal.

If he was responsible for anything, the most he did was turn the water *back on*, right?

I did read somewhere that a statement from Doge(?) is claiming that they doubled the water flow in to Southern Cali. I haven't found anything confirming that. I'm not sure they don't mean that it doubled when they turned the water *back on*.  I'm still waiting to see. Don't take offense or blame me for not taking their word for it. It's not TDS. I'm skeptical of getting the truth from people who lie all the time. Sorry, people who resort to hyperbole.

Would losing that fish harm the ecosystem at all?  Is the fish just much ado about nothing?

Because he's letting the media lie for him. He's in the hot seat and knows he needs to stfu for a bit.

It took me a second to realize what that was.

Smelt?
It's kinda like Krill in a sense that there's millions of them.
A long time tradition here in Michigan and probably Canada is to head over to Canada and go smelt dipping. I don't know if that's popular in other parts of the country.
Of course it involves drinking many beers but if they're running, you'll get thousands of those little bastards.
A couple of swipes with a pocket knife and they're ready for batter and frying.

I knew I "Smelt" something Fishy. ;D

What these Nimrods don't understand is due to regulations you can't just "Turn the Water On"

In Cali it literally takes legislation to do anything.

That is why Trump Bypassed and used The Army Corp of engineers to turn it on. 8)

Soooo "Woody Guthrie" is a LIAR too.?? :(

This land is your land, and this land is my land
From California to the New York island
From the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream waters
This land was made for you and me.

What, exactly, did they do to turn on the water?

Quote from: Bucky Cornstarch on January 29, 2025, 05:44 AMJFC I lived in Northern California for close to four fucking decades. When I would visit Portland, Seattle, hell, even the Oregon and Washington coasts, I would be visiting the Pacific Northwest.

NorCal is NOT the Pacific Northwest.

Is Michigan the east Coast? Same time zone.

And no, Trump did not turn on some magic spigot that miraculously remedied California's decades-old drought.

It's pathetic what some here will do to give their cult leader a reach around.

so much truth in what you said there.

Trump did not turn on a spigot. He was in NC at the time, visiting the homeless.

From what I gather, the pumps needed repairing.

I guess I should do some research as to what pumps and all that. I only know what I've seen here about it.

More lies!  ;D
They were in hotels not homeless (sarcasm).

I heard rumors that those people displaced by the hurricane are now being put up in full sized apartments instead of hotels.
