It took all of 24 hours for Mexico to cave.
This puts Trump and the USA in a much better position to negotiate a workable tariff deal with Mexico.

But without Trump having the courage to throw down a big opening move like that, those negotiations may never have come about.

That is Trump's best asset, his ability to negotiate, and I am happy to see him use that skill to benefit the whole country.

That article doesn't say anything about troops and it wasn't super kind to Trump mentioning Biden copying a Trump era short sighted deal.

I don't have time to read the entire article so I had to skim through it.

I know that in 2021, the Mexican government sent 10,000 troops to their patrol their southern border to help with the influx of migrants coming from South America. I just can't remember what he had to do to get Mexico to agree to it.
