I think I need a break from politics for a couple of months.  :D

My RSS feed has just been nuts for the last two weeks.

White House says it will cancel $8 million in Politico subscriptions after a false right-wing conspiracy theory spreads

8mil is the cost of 40,000 subscriptions. The federal government is just so stinking big!

This article is from 2017 but it kind of explains the pricing. No other place could I find a legit listing of what Pro actually costs.

"A five-person subscription to Pro costs $8,000. Institutional subscriptions cost even more. That same subscription cost $2,495 when Pro first debuted in 2010 "

https://digiday.com/media/half-politicos-revenue-now-20000-subscribers/

Definitely not a few bucks per person.

No, the real (unspoken) argument for eliminating the Department of Education is that the Republican Party does not want an educated voter pool. The ability to reason, deduce facts, and weed out hyperbole are all contrary to the right wing agenda.

Yep, congratulations, you figured it out.

More federal bureaucracy and a corrupt teachers union has been working so well, so let's stick with that.

That "no position" guy is killing me.

How fucking hard is it to admit that this shit is just wasted spending.

This is why the Democrats can't be taken serious in their complaints about what Elon is doing.  They're doing it to themselves.

I wouldn't have a good poker face.  I'd have the "what the fuck did she just say" look the entire time.

This reminds me of The Congressional Pig Book that used to go around all the time.

edit: apparently it's still around    https://www.cagw.org/reporting/pig-book

Supposedly he holds a position at USC.
I think I read that in the comments last night. I have no clue who he is.

"No position."

Let's put him in prison for malfeasance and see what his position is then.
