No, the real (unspoken) argument for eliminating the Department of Education is that the Republican Party does not want an educated voter pool. The ability to reason, deduce facts, and weed out hyperbole are all contrary to the right wing agenda.

Washington State has been run nearly exclusively by Democrats for decades and all of the problems they complained about 30 years ago haven't changed. They still try to blame republicans but really?  The republicans don't even have a voice in this State.
