Something just doesn't pass the smell test, I can't help but think a 3rd person was involved.

Autopsy report should tell. I don't think so personally. I think it has something to do with those pills.

She may not have realized the dog was locked up or during deep states of depression, may not have considered it?

Gene Hackman died due to hypertensive atherosclerosis cardiovascular disease, with Alzheimers as a significant contributing factor, New Mexico officials confirmed Friday. He was likely alone in the home for about a week, until he died around February 18th, which was the last time activity was recorded on his pacemaker.

His wife, Betsy Arakawa, died due to Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome, which is transmitted from animals to humans and is commonly found in rodents, the New Mexico Department of Health confirmed. Arakawa's autopsy determined the manner of death as natural. Authorities believe Arakawa died on about Feb. 11.

Alzheimer's is the worst thing ever. So she dies of hantavirus first, then Gene wanders around the house for a week till he dies. If you haven't been around someone that far gone with alzheirmers, consider yourself lucky. People might list the cause of death as alzheimers,  the sad reality is the ultimate cause of death is dehydration or starvation. Entirely possible that Gene was malnourished to the point his heart gave out. Your body forgets how to eat. And speaking of which, I'd rather eat a bullet than go that route.
