Well, no.

Do you think it's just a little suspicious that Musks companies are positioned to be in a better market spot because of Trumps decisions?

Do you think there is a reason why people are discouraged from being in a government position where they can influence the policies that affect their future profits?

Hell, in some situations that might even be illegal.

No worries though, Pam "whatabout" Bondi and Cash Patel are on the clock.

'Suspicious' isn't the word I would have chosen. Perhaps 'comeuppance' would be better placed.

During the Biden administration, Starlink was denied a contract to supply internet to rural areas, even though the cost of implementation was far more cost effective than the fiber-optic option.

Biden's Electric Vehicle Summit excluded Tesla, the world's largest maker of EVs.

I think these examples are a better example of 'Suspicious'.

Possibly.

I'll look into that. If true I'd like to know the reasons why. I would think Starlink, in particular, would likely be the easiest and fastest way to provide internet access to rural areas.

SpaceX > Boeing Space
SpaceX > NASA... At The Moment
SpaceX > United Space Alliance ... especially since it's dead
SpaceX > Relativity... at the moment.
ICE > EV's - all it took for people to see that was a bunch of screeching harpies, some Brokeback fans reaching in their asshole for some shit to smear on cars, and a bunch of acts of felony vandalism to see it. :coffee:

X > BlueSky

Shall I go on?

Boeing's incompetence stranded 2 astronauts for 9 fuckin' months. NASA's incompetence contributed because they did not set standards for crew space suit compatability/interoperability. I mean they were able to work with the Russians on docking station compatibility.. WTF?

We are a meritocracy when it counts. Don't like it? GTFO!

Boeing got their ass handed to them fair and square. Get over it. That said, personally I'm not a huge fan of Musk. His work ethic, his committment to push the technology envelope goes so far as "We're going to blow some shit up on this journey. Get over it. My wallet will." That said, I don't think he or his team are as cavalier with crewed missions as they are on uncrewed missions. I mean... NASA's got a double digit body count because they were cavalier, so we're holding SpaceX to a higher standard?

https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/05/business/tesla-snub-white-house-event/index.html

QuoteOne potential reason for the apparent snub: The United Auto Workers union will also be at the ceremony. The UAW represents workers at GM, Ford and Stellantis, but has been battling, so far unsuccessfully, to organize Tesla workers at the EV maker's plant in Fremont, California.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked about Tesla's absence at her briefing Thursday ahead of the event.

"Well, we of course welcome the efforts of automakers who recognize the potential of an electric vehicle future and support efforts that will help reach the President's goal, and certainly Tesla is one of those companies," Psaki said. "I would not expect this is the last time we talk about clean cars and the move towards electric vehicles, and we look forward to having a range of partners in that effort."

Asked if Tesla being a nonunion company was the reason it wasn't included Thursday, Psaki replied, "Well, these are the three largest employers of the United Auto Workers, so I'll let you draw your own conclusions."

That would possibly explain why Musk would want to buy a place in Trumps administration.

It looks like it might backfire on him as far as Tesla goes. But he might still make big coin with SpaceX.

I'm guessing this is legal? How does this not break campaign finance election laws?

I would think the same. It's almost like politicians decide who they'd like to give money to, then create rules to exclude any competition.
